These seat mounting platforms were designed to
take the hastle out of fitting a race seat to your car.
Allowing both side mounts and sliders to bolt directly to this platform giving you complete flexibility. Designed to take all width of seats and available as a left and a right layout. Allowing the seat to be mounted as close to the tunnel as possible and assisting with aligning to the centre of the steering wheel. The flat pack kit is suitable for the basic workshop/ handyman. The kit DOES require the 4 supplied legs to be cut, folded and welded into place. Note the some basic fabrication is needed -Included in 1 kit is the following components
-1) 1x Seat platform, available in LH and RH
-2) 4x mounting legs with a laser cut 10mm hole ready to bolt in
-3) 4x leg gussets. Recommended for over sized/long legs to minimize flex
-4) 1x Crotch strap mounting plate/stiffening rib. Just add 2x eye bolts.
-5) 1x OEM seat belt buckle mount(for use in road cars, re-use your original seat belt buckle)
-6) 4x Spacer washers (10mm ID, 5mm thick) for carpet clearance under the legs
-7) 8x mounting washers (8mm ID, 5mm thick) 4x of these go under the slots when bolting the side
mounts or slider down to the mounting platform to spread the clamping load. The remaining 4 can
be used to space the side mounts off the side of the seat should the side mounts hit the plastic
harness insert of your seat.
The row of 6mm holes across the front of the platform is for an optional laser cut fire
extinguisher mount which is also available to buy both, with the seat platform kit, or separately.
We also offer fitting/fabrication services should you need some help mounting you new race
seat. Charged at an hourly rate and a booking is required.
Also we aim do grow a range of pre fabricated and jigged, direct bolt in seat platforms. We
