Roll cages
Where to start?
Bringing your car in…
Your car can be supplied in any state, from a bare shell to a
complete OEM car with full trim. While it will save you some money to
strip the car yourself, if you don’t have the time, space or know how,
we can do it for you.
Having a drivers seat installed is the first step, it is important to
have you seated correctly so that you are comfortable, and then we
can build the cage around you. Getting the most clearance to the front
legs, roof bars as well as setting an appropriate height for the harness
bar.
For what would be classed as a typical ROPS Roll Cage there
are the schedule J guide lines that need to be followed, and anything
built outside of these guide lines needs to be FEA/FIA engineered and
certified.
What to expect…
All Trackart ROPS Roll cages are fully TIG welded* and all
compliant ROPS Roll cages are supplied with MotorSport Aust. ROPS
paperwork once completed. All compliant Roll cages we build a given
a manufacturers serial number.
All of our roll cage are photo documented, which shows the
entire build, this includes all prep, floor plates, tube layout, welding
and all gussets and tags. Additionally any other work that you have on
the job sheet will also be added to the Dropbox photo’s for you to
download at any time.

What’s Important…
Regardless of the type of ROPS roll cage you are after, one of
the most important things to do first is to get you seat mounted in the
right place. From this, the ROPS roll cage will be made to suit and to
get you maximum head room, harness bar height to ensure a
preferred 0-10deg harness angle as well as having the main hoop of
the ROPS roll cage far enough back to give you leg room.
We make our ROPS roll cages as tight to the inner profile of the
car as possible to maximize room and safety, so we recommend you
supply your car to us with any interior that you plan to keep. From full
interior, completely stripped out, or anywhere in between. If you have
a sun roof, do you plan to keep it?
If you would like to play around with different ROPS roll cage
designs, please feel free to head to our ROPS roll cage designer page
(link is on the left). Alternatively if you are unsure, just email us and let
us know the Make/Model of your car, what events you are aiming for
and we can start designing a ROPS roll cage for you.
Once you have the design you are after, send us a screen shot
via email and we can quote the ROPS cage design and possible give
you a few options that are of a similar build/price.
The cost of a ROPS roll cage is for the ROPS roll cage fully
installed in raw steel. Common additional items are…
-Dash and interior modifications.
-Painting of the roll cage in Satin Black.
-The mounting of window-nets
-Mounting of the drivers seat to help set the ROPS roll cage
position.
Payments for the ROPS roll cage is approx.50% as an up front
deposit and the balance (approx.50%) when completed.
If there is any additional work, for example…
-R&R windscreen.
-Fabricate aluminium rear parcel shelf.
-Fabricate aluminium front floor plates and foot rest.
-Add additional harness mounting points.
-Painting of the ROPS roll cage.
-Mounting of the seat/s off the ROPS roll cages off additional
